PRISMAS (Swiss) sound is niet alleen progressive-rock. Ze houden ervan om rond nieuwe ideeen te werken en deze te intergeren in hun muziek.
Hun songs hebben veel technische finesse, psychedelische, hypnotiserende melodieen, maar ze houden altijd hun intentie. De verschillende stijlen en invloeden alsook hun voorkomen vangt elke prog. liefhebber.
Het compacte en krachtige samenspel tussen de muzikanten en de geweldige tekstlijnen is een beetje het handelsmerk geworden van prisma. Bovendien worden hun optredens vaak visueel erg versterkt door de door hun gebruikte special effects.
INDUKTI (polen) is het samenspel tussen 5 gelijkgestemde muzikale geesten, het is een muzikale conglomeraat ontworpen om je verbeelding te stimuleren door aparte gebeurtenissen en unieke emoties.

Onze regionale hardcore trots No Turning Back blijft hard gaan! De gereputeerde hardcoreband, die dit jaar 10 jaar bestaat, deed in april en mei al een indrukwekkende Europese tournee maar blijft niet stil zitten. Afgelopen zomer stonden ze op het Tsjechische Fluff Fest en de hele maand augustus waren ze ook op reis. In het najaar touren ze doodleuk verder en komen ze in De Pul nog even een keertje 'thuis'.
De line-up is aangevuld met vier vette bands uit binnen- en buitenland: On Fire en Said & Done uit de regio en Lion's Den & Anger Curse uit Zweden. Niet de minste en het beloofd dus een lekker ruig avondje te worden!

Op de vooravond van de release van de nieuwe MENNEN cd 'Planet Black'(release 23 mei 2008) is gitarist Eric van de Kerkhof vervangen door niemand minder dan ex- ZINATRA gitarist GINO RERIMASSIE. 15 jaar na Zinatra zullen Gino en zanger JOSS MENNEN wederom samen het podium gaan betreden.Mennen heeft inmiddels 5 studioalbums en 2 live-platen uitgebracht, waarvan de laatste release het in Cincinnati (USA) live opgenomen “Freakalive”. Het nieuwe album van MENNEN, wederom geproduceerd door Erwin Musper (Van Halen, Scorpions, David Bowie), wordt uitgebracht door Armageddon Music/SPV.
Met de komst van Gino is Mennen klaar voor een nieuw hoofdstuk, waarbij de jongens niet zullen schromen naar het verleden terug te grijpen, maar veel meer zal duidelijk zijn dat Mennen klaar is voor de toekomst! We told you it would be a rocky ride ……
Lost InSanity komt voort uit de voormalige meidenband waar Patricia en Peggy, eind 20`ste eeuw menig podia mee wisten te veroveren.Ook in Duitsland was Lost InSanity graag gezien op de podia echter in hun prime stortte de band in toen Patricia genoodzaakt was te emigreren.
Sinds de hereniging van Patricia en Peggy in 2006 is er een nieuw Lost InSanity, en niet zonder succes !!!De band stond al snel in 013 , De Groene Engel, De Kattendans en op Woman In Rock. Lost InSanity kan je omschrijven als een solide rockband met een No Nonsense beleid, catchy songs en een stem waar je bij achterover slaat.

Formed in Israel in 2006 by 5 Camel loving (and living…) musicians. The project was quickly rewarded by enthusiastic and very happy crowds cheering to Camel songs played live and asking only for more and more.
The play list is composed mainly of the band's "Classic era" recordings.

RPWL:
De Duitse mannen van RPWL onder de bezielende leiding van Yogi Lang. Vaak vergeleken met Pink Floyd, maar het uitzonderlijke met RPWL is dat nauwelijks een van hun originele nummers naar een specifiek Pink Floyd nummer klinkt. Hun laatste CD “The RPWL Experience”, staat al ettelijke maanden in de Wereldse Tien, de top tien van de toonaangevende online Progmagazine, “Progwereld.org” van een nummer 1 notering langzaam dalend, maar met een huidige nummer 4 notering doen ze het nog steeds buitengewoon goed.
Erik van Progwereld.org schrijft over de laatste RPWL CD:
Hoewel in een lager tempo, lijkt de band een zelfde ontwikkeling door te maken als Porcupine Tree, richting een volstrekt eigen geluid. In die zin is "The RPWL Experience" vooral een belofte voor de toekomst, maar voor dit moment vind ik het de allerbeste plaat die de mannen ooit gemaakt hebben en mag-ie zeker meedingen als het gaat om de beste tien platen van het jaar.
Sylvan:
Na te zijn gestart als Chamaleon werd in 1998 de naam gewijzigd in het huidige Sylvan.
Sylvan begint een begrip te worden en die naam groeit elke dag nog. Nu in 2008 zijn we getuige van het tienjarig bestaan van Sylvan.
Maarten van Progwereld.org schrijft over de recent verschenen DVD/Dubbel CD:
Wat zijn deze mannen goed! Individueel, maar ook als band stijgen ze boven zichzelf uit. Drummer Matthias Harder en de uitzonderlijk sterke bassist Sebastian Harnack zorgen voor een basis die staat als een huis. De twee gitaristen vervullen hun rol uitstekend en ook toetsenist Volker Söhl speelt sterk. Ze hebben erg veel plezier in wat ze doen en dat zorgt voor een prettige en ongedwongen sfeer op het podium. Maar het is toch zanger Marco Gluhmann die alles uit de kast haalt. De muziek van Sylvan zorgt ervoor dat hij alles uit zijn stem moet halen. Hij zingt vol passie en energie en wanneer hij alles moet geven, dan doet hij dat met verve. Luister maar eens naar The Last Embrace, kippenvel! De vraag is hoe lang hij - en vooral zijn stem - deze stijl van zingen kan volhouden. Ik hoop nog heel lang!
Komt dat zien rest mij dan nog te zeggen, na gespeeld te hebben met bands als: Asia, Marillion, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Asia, Flowerkings, IQ, Fish, Pallas, Jadis etc is het nu de beurt aan een avondje onvervalste Duitse Progressive.

Coldplace are a Coldplay tribute band whose quality and experience on the tribute scene are second to none. The band have been performing since 2004 and have always strived to give the audience the closest experience you could get to seeing Coldplay themselves.
The band all come from the East coast town of Grimsby and their reputation is rapidly spreading across the globe as being the best and most authentic tribute to Coldplay there is. With mentions on Sky news and BBC radio, the band has managed to rack up an impressive following and with over 100 gig’s under their belt, they certainly know what is expected from a live show.
Right from the start, Coldplace had an unnerving likeness to the real thing, especially in front man Shane crofts whose look, sound and even on stage movement perfectly recreated that of Chris Martin. Thanks to this incredible accuracy we where quickly on the tribute circuit and over the years have been given some amazing opportunities. None more so than playing in front of an estimated 38,000 people on the the main stage at The mathew Street Festival, numerous gigs in Malta and on one occasion this was as support for sir Bob Geldoff. We have also been lucky enough to do tours of the Isle of Man and Ireland as well as covering the length and breadth of the UK.
Some venues we have firmly established ourselves at have included the Limelight club in Crewe and Mr Kyps in Poole, one independent reviewer at Mr Kyps even went as far to claim we where “so real sounding you may cry with delight when you see them” high praise indeed. We also had the great privilege of performing for England’s rugby world cup winning squad as part of Will Greenwoods testimonial. We played in front of a star studded audience which included the great Sir Trevor Macdonald.
Our main aim as a tribute band was obviously to capture the feeling of a live Coldplay performance, to do this we pay great attention to detail with the overall sound and the look of the band. This had lead to some amazing comments from people who have seen our show like “close your eyes and you’ll think it was Coldplay”, slightly over the top but still great for us to hear. The highest compliment we ever get paid though is when somebody who never liked Coldplay has changed their minds after seeing us perform and vowed to go and buy their albums, comments like this make us truly feel our job is done and all the years of perfecting our show has paid off.

Kerstmis wordt stevig in Uden. Op zaterdag voor kerst beginnen we al met The Heavy X-mass Fest fungeert als alternatief kerstdiner.
Na de ongekende successen van de vorige edities elders wordt er ook dit jaar natuurlijk weer een Hard and Heavy X-mass party georganiseerd, voor het eerst in DE PUL.
De datum voor dit alternatieve kerstdiner is zaterdag 20 december en de line-up wordt dit jaar wederom verbluffend. De hardcore rockers van Ten Seconds Down zal de Udense grond doen trillen met songs van hun nieuwe cd, die dan ook heel toepasselijk de naam "Heartbeat away from Hell" draagt.
Verder was SQY Rocking Team tot nu toe op alle edities van het H&H X-mass Fest vertegenwoordigd. Met hun aanstekelijke Rock & Roll show weet de band het publiek tot totale verzadiging te brengen. Na Heineken Music Hall, Melkweg en Paradiso is het nu weer tijd voor de Udense Pul. Verder worden er nog 2 speciale acts geboekt voor dit spektakel waarover binnenkort meer informatie komt. Zeker is wel dat, net als bij de vorige edities in Helmond, de SQY fanclubtribe weer 2 fanclubbussen zal laten rijden met diverse routes naar Uden zodat er ook andere zuidelijkere drinkenbroeders aanwezig zullen zijn. C'mon is a power trio. There are three of them, three points of a triangle. They create (3 LPs, 3 EPs and 3 7"s in 5 years), They tour (Canada: 6 times at house parties to bigger opening slots with Turbonegro, The MC5/DTK, Nomeansno, Fucked Up, etc) and they rely on these simple rules: do it now, get in the van, jam econo and take no prisoners. Formed in October 1969, Wishbone Ash was gigging by 1970. The band garnered notice in the early days for a unique blend of blues, jazz and English folk. But it was the way the guitars played melodic leads together that would become Wishbone Ash’s trademark, inspiring such bands as Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden.
Throughout the years, many notable musicians have contributed their talents to the band, including Asia’s John Wetton, Trevor Bolder from Uriah Heep and Laurie Wisefield, who would later play guitar for Joe Cocker and Tina Turner.
Late in 2004, founding guitarist Andy Powell, bassist Bob Skeat and drummer Ray Weston were joined by Finnish guitar slinger Muddy Manninen, who replaced fellow Finn Ben Granfelt. Wishbone Ash introduced Manninen to a receptive crowd at the annual UK AshCon in October, and US fans came out to get a look at the new guitar duo in action on a late fall tour.
One of Helsinki’s top players, Manninen is a natural fit with the Ash. He played alongside Granfelt in the acclaimed ’80s outfit Gringos Locos, something of a twin-lead guitar band itself. He and Powell share musical influences such as John Renbourn, Peter Green and Albert King. With Manninen, Wishbone Ash regains a slide guitarist; he is also an accomplished acoustic player and songwriter.
With a new band member comes a new dynamic that Wishbone Ash fans have embraced enthusiastically. It is this synergy that the band hopes to capture in the studio this summer.

Het complexe en omvangrijke werk van Pink Floyd na te spelen valt bijna in het onmogelijke. Daarom zijn er ook maar zeer weinig bands die dat aandurven. Echoes durft het wel met een reis door de donkere kant van de maan, van Ummagumma, naar Meddle,Animals, Wish you were here en The Wall. Ook komen er stukken te voorschijn die door het origineel al in geen eeuwen meer zijn gespeeld.
Echoes maakt het onwaarschijnlijke waar, de muziek van Pink Floyd magisch en atmosferisch te spelen. Is daarmee niet alleen in Duitsland maar ook in omringende landen uiterst succesvol.
Ongewoonlijk ook voor een tribute band is dat men in de zomer van 2007 werd uitgenodigd voor The Night Of The Prog op de legendarische Loreley rotsen en deelden daar het podium met o.a. Asia, Fisch en Jethro Tull.
Het publiek mag zich dus op een stemmingsvol concert verheugen.

ERNST VAN EE alsmede zanger STAN VERBRAAK wederom samen het podium gaan betreden. Met de "terugkeer" van Marchell en Stan, wordt ook de setlist aangepast, zo zullen de aanstaande shows een mengelmoes worden van HIGHWAY CHILE songs en de HELLOISE klassiekers. "Een wens van vele mensen, om Helloise songs nog een keer te live te kunnen horen".
Highway Chile heeft inmiddels 3 studioalbums en 1 live-CD uitgebracht, waarvan de laatste release het in de New Road Studio live opgenomen “On The Road Again”. Het nieuwe album van HIGHWAY CHILE, is geproduceerd door HIGHWAY CHILE zelf , en is uitgebracht door Mausoleum.
Het repertoire dat HIGHWAY CHILE op de planken brengt stamt grotendeels uit de meest succesvolle periode tijdens de Storybook Heroes plaat. Krakers als "Highway Chile Is Coming To Get Ya ", "Headbangers", "Jesse James", "Bite in Anger" en "Carol" worden gespeeld.

The band’s career took a turn-a-round in 1998, when instead of performing 4-5 times a year, they were invited
to 70-80 shows yearly throughout Europe. Ranging from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The United Kingdom,
The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania and Russia’s biggest
festivals and clubs.
They’ve also recorded songs for different KISS tribute albums like 1999’s „KISS Deutschland-A Tribute to
KISS” performing „Shout It Out Loud” or 2002’s „Sharkbite Records-Unpainted” album,which was released
in The States, performing „Thief In The Night”.
In the spring of 2001, hungarian „Nephilim Records” released KISS Forever Band’s first independent album titled „Carnival Of Songs”. The classical version of 12 KISS songs were recorded as well 2 KISS Forever Band renditions.
In 2003 the hungarian „TomTom Records” released the second album of the band named „Plug It Out!” which recorded on some shows in Hungary and Germany during the very successful „Unplugged Tour” at the spring of 2003.They played an unusual setlist during the tour with songs what the originals never played live for example „Rip It Out” or „We Are One”.
The band’s third album saw the light of the day at the end of 2006 when „TomTom Records” released a full live album with 15 tracks recorded in the legendary rock club called „Wigwam” in Budapest where international legends performed earlier as well for example Glenn Hughes,Joe Lynn Turner,Sebastian Bach,WASP,Eric Singer Project just to name a few.The album title is „Live&Loud” and it’s represent the band’s pure and energetic live performance.
The concert program of the band goes way back to the early works of KISS to today.Other then hit songs,they
play a few surprise numbers,without the demand for entirety „Deuce” , „Rock And Roll All Nite” , „Detroit Rock City” , „I Was Made For Lovin’ You” , „Lick It Up” , „New York Groove” or „War Machine” , „Fits Like A Glove” , „Hooligan” ,etc.
Countries from much farther away are showing great interest in the band as well. Their goals are Canada, Australia and naturally Europe will not be left without KISS Forever Band concerts.
The band’s goal was perform about 100 shows in 2005 because this was their 10th anniversary year so 2005 was bring the first complete UK tour,massive shows in The Netherlands,the first visit in Italy and Finland and exclusive headlining the summer festivals all around Europe.
Until the end of 2006 the band already performed more than 400 shows in 17 different countries and they can’t stop , as the current tour’s called „Rock And Roll Ain’t Over” !
In 2007 the band continued the non-stop touring and they rocked Sweden,Spain and Portugal very first time!
Die-hard fans left the venues satisfied in major cities like Stockholm,Barcelona,Madrid and even Faro what was one of the highlight of the band’s 12 years career to rock in front of thousands of bikers on the world famous „Beach Rally”.
At February of 2008 the band reached the „Anniversary 500th Show” in Bruneck/Italy on the current „Alive&Loud” tour,there’s no other KISS tribute band worldwide who played that amount of concerts and rocked 20 countries!

Hardrocklegende THUNDER bestaat 20 jaar en viert dit met een nieuw album (BANG) en tour, exclusief in Nederland in DE PUL!
Thunder is opgericht in 1989 door Danny Bowes en Luke Morley. Na een eerste demo in 1989 tekenden ze bij EMI en begonnen ze te schrijven aan hun eerste album, Backstreet Symphony.
Na het uitkomen van dit geweldig succesvolle album, geproduceerd door Mike Fraser (Bryan Adams, Aerosmith ea), traden zij onder andere twee keer op in het Birminghamse NEC, als voor programma van Aerosmith. Deze optredens waren iets wat, net als hun voorliefde voor toeren en hun geweldige live-preformance, hun populariteit alleen maar deed toenemen.
In 1990 mochten zijn dan ook op het prestigieuze Monsters Of Rock festival in Donnington Park spelen. De grootste Britse rockbladen ‘Kerrang’, ‘Metal Hammer’ en ‘Raw’ verkozen Thunder als “best new band of the year”. Als snel was Thunder verworden tot een van de meest bekende en populaire bands in de Engelse rockscene. Ze tourden in Scandinavië, Zuid-Amerika en stond met ZZ Top op de planken in de Milton Keynes Bowl, een bekende tot outdoor concerthal omgebouwde groeve met een capaciteit van 65.000 mensen.
Ook deden ze in deze tijd een tour in samenwerking met Extreme, stonden ze op nieuwjaarsdag met Metallica, Europe en Tesla in Tokyo en kwamen ze weer naar Donnngton als gasten van Iron Maiden.
Thunder ontwikkelt zich als een van de grootste en meest zichtbare hardrockacts van de jaren '90. Na een afwezigheid van enkele jaren start de band in 2002 weer opnieuw op en nu knallen ze weer als vanouds.

Nazareth are a Scottish rock band that had several hard rock hits, as well as scoring with the Felice and Boudleaux Bryant-penned ballad "Love Hurts," in the middle of the 1970s.The band moved to London, England in 1970, and released their self-titled debut album in 1971. After getting some attention with their second album Exercises, released in 1972, Nazareth issued Razamanaz in early 1973. This collection spawned two UK Top Ten hits, "Broken Down Angel" and "Bad Bad Boy." This was followed by Loud 'N' Proud in late 1973, which contained another hit single with a hard-rocking cover of Joni Mitchell's song "This Flight Tonight." Then came another album Rampant, in 1974, that was equally successful although it did not yield a single. A non-album song, again a cover version, this time of Tomorrow's "My White Bicycle," was a UK Top 20 entry in 1975.
Hair of the Dog was released in 1975. The title track of that album (popularly, though incorrectly, known as "Son Of A Bitch" due to its chorus lyrics) became a staple of 1970s rock radio. The American version of the album included a song originally recorded by The Everly Brothers, and also covered by Roy Orbison, the expressively melodic ballad "Love Hurts," that was released as a hit single in the UK and in the U.S., where it went platinum. The track became the band's only U.S. Top Ten hit.
In 1979, second guitarist Zal Cleminson was added to the lineup, remaining for two albums, No Mean City and Malice in Wonderland, contributing numerous compositions. Malice in Wonderland produced a popular AOR single called "Holiday".
Various Nazareth lineups continued to make studio albums and tour throughout the 1980sand 1990s, although their popularity had declined such that some albums no longer received neither a UK nor a USA release. they remained popular in Europe, particularly Germany, where "Dream On" became a hit single.

The Watch is a 5-piece band from Milan, Italy. Born from the ashes of The Night Watch, they began to work in a more professional way with the release of Ghost in 2001, the album that introduced them to prog audiences. Today, The Watch are a well-known act in the prog community and are definitely appreciated. Their music is inspired by artists of the 70's, primarily early Genesis, owing to an incredible similarity between Simone Rossetti's vocals and those of a younger Peter Gabriel. Despite this similarity, however, the band has its own style, combining classical prog atmospheres with a sprinkling of modernity. During interviews, the guys are often asked how they manage to attain such a high production level both in-studio and on stage. They like to say that they simply try to compose nice songs and nothing more. The Watch's latest effort, Vacuum, instantly received excellent reviews. With its release in November 2004, The Vacuum Tour took off, bringing the band to perform in several European countries as well as in the U.S.A. In 2007, after three years of waiting the band gave birth to the third album: Primitive. It represents a clear continuation, but also a step-forward, to their previous albums Ghost and Vacuum. Future plans include a live DVD scheduled for 2007 and designed to catch all aspects of their legendary theatrical live shows.

Saga is terug in Nederland, na de laatste afscheids show in November 2006 van Michael Sadler, heeft Saga in de vorm van Rob Moratti een nieuw bandlid en zanger gevonden. De allereerste Nederlandse show zal plaatsvinden in De Pul. Saga is a Progressive rock quintet, formed in Oakville Ontario Canada. Bassist-keyboardist Jim Crichton (b. February 26th, 1953) and Welsh-born vocalist Michael Sadler (b. July 5th, 1954) have been the principal songwriters for Saga. Ian Crichton (b. August 3rd, 1956) is the band's guitarist. Apart from his work with Saga, he has recorded several solo albums as well as sessions with Asia. The band's keyboardist, Jim "Daryl" Gilmour (b. February 25th, 1958), replaced Greg Chadd in 1980 (Chadd replaced original member Peter Rochon after the first album). After the 2003 "Marathon" tour, Steve Negus (b. February 19th, 1952) announced his retirement as Saga's original drummer. Christian Simpson, a Canadian-American, replaced Negus for 2004's "Network" album, until sidelined by a neurological condition that affected his drumming. In late 2005, former Helix member Brian Doerner became Saga's third drummer in as many years.
